This shop was located down the street from Silbest.
Besides being located in Kyoto, it seemed that this shop had exactly NO Japanese characteristics. And no name. At least not one I could discover. Instead of being neat it was a mess, instead of being organized, stuff was just heaped up. From the sign out front it appears to have once been a BMW motorcycle dealer, but according to the BMW company calendar inside, the last time a motorcycle rolled out the door was 1985!!
If you look carefully at the heap in the top picture you can see a step through frame Fuji roadster. On the opposite wall hung a 1970's Raleigh lightweight....still in the plastic.
Take a look at the window case. Yes those are S-A gearhubs including a Dyno-Gearhub. But trying to get to the case from the inside would have required an investment in time and labor. The back room had even more stuff. If you are in the area, I am sure you could find something useful, but be prepared to sort through a lot of stuff you DON'T want first. The proprietor was also not very keen on parting with his wares.
I read your blog in the past and commented a while ago. I would like to ask you a question. Please contact me at the email address I entered to make this comment (if you have access to it)
